Montale, a small town built on the top of a hill shares with other villages the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. Inside are the statues found in the Oratory of St. Joseph of Cattognano.

Once very populated, over the years, the abandonment of the houses has forced the closure of the only food store and elementary school in which many pupils had started their education.

The church probably already built in 1600 has a portal dated 1844 and dominates the Taverone river. Its structure is very simple and beside its bell tower was once the small cemetery.

In the square you can find a monument dedicated to the fallen, but we do not know the year of installation.
